Welcome to Future First Responders of America (FFROA). A national program that gives youth options for a lifetime.
Future First Responders of America is an nation wide organization that provides youth, ages 13 to 18 a chance to experience all types of careers within the scope of a First Responder.
First Responders can be any person or agency that responds. In the public it is seen as Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters or EMS. However our program goes above and beyond that. In fact, FFRA includes EMT, Dispatchers, Forestry Department, CSI, Cyber Security, Drone Pilots, Detention Officers, Animal Control/Livestock, Military, Lifeguard, Fish and Game, Air Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Wildlife, FEMA, CERT, and more.
Youth individuals apply as a recruit and become Cadets after they successfully complete Academy.
Youth between the ages of 13 and 18 are exposed to many things. We provide a positive learning and training environment.
Future First Responders of America (FFROA) program helps provide experience, life skills, direction, mentorship and leadership for youth. Youth gain a sense of self-worth to themselves and the community with outreach/internship opportunities. They also gain experience as being part of a team in a first responder type environment.
Each individual (or Cadet) gets the chance to experience all aspects of being a responder in a wide variety of occupations. After completing Academy, the Cadet will have the opportunity to have internships with as many agencies as they choose.
The Cadet then has the ability to earn rank and position within the organization. This can lead to many other endeavors for the individual.
Whether or not the Cadet continues with FFROA or not, they are given the tools they need for success in life. If they chose to continue in a career in becoming a first responder, they have the training, experience and skills necessary backed up with certifications that are obtained in their tenure with FFROA.
There are 2 programs currently available:
#1 - A local Unit that is active in training and in the community. Units meet once per month and are trained, educated, experience or go on field trips to first responder type activities. NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
#2 - Summer Academy Camp. Each year in July, a Summer Academy Camp is provided for all the Recruits of a unit that have not yet completed academy. Once a recruit completes academy will they graduate as a full fledged FFROA member. SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM STARTS 2024
Members (Cadets) are afforded many benefits and opportunities. Cadets earn rank and are taught throughout the year.
NOTE: At Summer Academy Camp, that is also the time for the annual FFROA conference where ALL Unit members can attend and learn new skills. You do not need to become a member while attending the Summer Academy Camp. Camp is for all youth to enjoy and learn about being a first responder, hands on.
